melbourne #5 - sashimi, queen victoria market, & old treasury building

basically this is the day when i have no specific itinerary,
so i just wandered around melbourne cbd.
best day everrrr :D

flower? cabbage? who knows? i don't.

sushiiiiii

didn't get the sushi because i'm not sure whether they use sake/mirin for the rice.
so i went for the sashimi. ate till full. costed me AUD 10! ~ RM35 per plate, but so worth it.

i spent nearly an hour looking for this shop - sushi monger.
nearly had hypoglycemia since i skipped breakfast.

went to market lane coffee on a friend's suggestion
i was consuming 7 eleven 1 dollar coffee every day at this point,
7 eleven in melbourne is so convenient

not so fancy, but worth a try. there's always a line here :)
this place is o near to queen vic market

fresh everything-with-meat everyone?

melbourne #4 - melbourne at night

this is me walking home after brighton beach.
i went there during early winter, so night comes faster, around 5-ish.

fed square at night

flinders at night - still alive and kicking

melbourne #3 - puffing billy & brighton beach

venturing out away from melbourne city.
puffing billy is around 1 hour train ride from melbourne,
from flinders right to the end - belgrave.
brighton beach is about half an hour away from melbourne cbd.
CBD = central business district :)

a bit higher in elevation, more greenery and colder

still running on coal. steam everywhere!

yes, this is how you sit on the train.
if you sit on the normal seat, you are uncool.

melbourne #2 - st kilda pier

went to st kilda because they say we can see penguins!
this is the little penguins though, a bit different than the penguins we're used to see on TV.

wise words at the hair salon.

best to go see penguins at sundown, when they'll come up.

hello lovely city skyline.

halfway thru the walkway, you see this cute house/building.

melbourne #1 - hello again!

i went to melbourne in june '15,
so this was wayyy overdue.
i was lazy. and busy.
i rarely turn on my laptop on weekdays anymore
(surprise, surprise)
and lately i have a life.
-.-"

anyway, my favourite trip ever was to melbourne.
it was a last minute thing.
my mum had work to do over there for 2 weeks,
so i tagged along for a week.
free accommodation since i was staying with my mum, yeay!

so since it was so last minute, i wasn't able to do much researching and worrying.
which in turn, leaves me with the most relaxed and fun trip ever.
i woke up when i want to,
walked absolutely everywhere i want to,
and stayed however long i want to.
alone, while my mum goes to work.

freedom at its best.
i'm a bird.

anyhoo, enough babbles.

view from the apartment

i loved the trams

old beautiful buildings make me so happy

japanese/korean tourists who were so excited,
the friend was taking her picture from outside the tram
